Privacy policy
How we handle information across the public website, your YardStock account, and your inventory workspace.
Effective September 12, 2026.
YardStock is operated by Up In Pieces LLC, doing business as YardStock.net (“YardStock,” “we,” or “us”). This policy covers yardstock.net and app.yardstock.net.
Account and company information
We collect the name, email address, company name, and login information you provide when creating an account. Company setup can include contact details, a phone number, an address, yard locations, and crew names and roles. Account passwords and crew PINs are stored as password hashes rather than readable passwords or PINs.
Inventory and activity
We store the product catalog, quantities, locations, QR identifiers, imported records, and notes you enter. Inventory history records changes with the crew member, device identifier, time, and quantity information so your company can review its activity. Your authorized company users can access information according to their role. YardStock administration can access account, company, subscription, and order information to operate the service and help customers.
QR scanning uses your device camera after you grant permission. The scanner reads camera frames in your browser; the YardStock scanner does not upload or retain the camera video. The decoded identifier is used to find a product.
Payments
Stripe hosts checkout and the billing portal and processes the payment and billing details you submit there. YardStock stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, invoice references, amounts, and links to invoices. YardStock does not receive or store your full payment-card number or card security code. Stripe also processes information under its Privacy Policy.
Website inquiries and the public chatbot
We receive the contact details, company information, interests, and messages you choose to submit through website forms, email, or the public chatbot. BusinessStub provides the website inquiry and chatbot services; messages and related conversation information are sent to that service to respond to questions and route requests.
The chatbot appears on the public marketing site, not in the demo or your signed-in inventory workspace. It is for product questions. Do not put passwords, payment details, or confidential inventory or employee information in a chatbot message.
Cookies, local storage, and technical information
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. The inventory app also stores catalog data, recent activity, preferences, and changes waiting to sync in your browser so supported workflows can continue through connection interruptions. Clearing browser data can remove unsynced changes. Use a device you trust, sign out when finished on a shared device, and check synchronization before clearing local data.
Our hosting, logging, and website services may receive technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, and request times. We use this information to operate the service, investigate problems, and understand website use.
How we use and share information
We use information to provide your workspace, synchronize inventory, administer subscriptions, respond to support and sales requests, send account or requested product communications, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information or inventory records.
Cloudflare hosts the application and database and processes information as part of that infrastructure. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. We also use Stripe for billing and BusinessStub for public inquiries and chatbot messages as described above. Providers may process information in locations outside your home state or country. Information may be disclosed when needed to comply with applicable law or address misuse of the service.
Retention and your choices
We retain account, inventory, support, and billing records as needed to provide the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. Canceling a subscription does not automatically delete your account or inventory. Your browser may also retain local data until it is cleared.
You can update company details in your account, export available inventory records from the manager workspace, and manage payment details through Stripe. To request access, correction, deletion, help with an export, or an end to product emails, use the YardStock contact form. We may need to verify your identity or authority for the company before acting. Some billing or other records may need to be retained after a deletion request.
Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Privacy questions can be sent to Up In Pieces LLC, dba YardStock.net, through our contact form.
